CONTINUING EDUCATION & SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

 

Below you will find a list of Fermenta continuing education opportunities that are offered at this time. Please review the requirements and details for each offering before you apply.

Requirements for Fermenta Continuing Education Opportunities:

  • You must be female and a current Active Member of Fermenta.
  • Applications must be received by the deadline listed.
  • Only one application per member per opportunity will be accepted.
  • Members may only win once per Scholarship category (Beginner or Entry Level, Continuing Education, Certifications & Conferences) every 12 month period. Within 12 months, you are eligible to win multiple scholarships, as long as each scholarship is in a unique category.
  • Scholarships not used within 12 months of receipt will be forfeit.
  • Recipients must provide feedback of the experience to Fermenta in the form of a written report, online blog, photo album, in-person presentation, or other mutually agreed upon format.
  • Rights to publish such report and photographs of the winner are granted to Fermenta.
  • Board Members and Scholarship Committee Members are ineligible to win

Rochester Mills Brewing Company is Sponsoring a

$500 Scholarship For a Fermentation or Industry Class of Your Choice

If you are a student pursuing an education in the craft beverage industry, this scholarship is for you!  This scholarship is for up to $500 toward a class, online or in person, for Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall 2020..  The class must be about fermentation (i.e. brewing, distillation, wine making, etc.) or a course specific to the craft beverage industry (i.e. marketing, brewery management, etc.)

This scholarship will pay for (or reimburse you if you’ve already paid) up to $500, not to exceed the cost of the course.

Location:  In-person or online at your college or university

BIPOC $200 in Scholarship Funds

Are you a woman of color working in the fermented food or beverage industries?* Could you use a scholarship to help with the costs of conferences, classes, or continued education?

Apply for the Bertie Brown Scholarship. It provides up to $200 on a rolling basis to assist with tuition, materials, conferences, or any other professional expenses. Any woman of color who is an active member of Fermenta is eligible as long as funds are available.
