Michigan Brewers Guild Virtual Winter Beer Conference

The Virtual Winter Conference kicks off this year Tuesday, January 12 at 3pm with keynote speaker Garrett Oliver - Michael Jackson Foundation, Brooklyn Brewery.
Join us for three afternoons of informative sessions — focused on agriculture, business and technical aspects — along with two Virtual Trade Show sessions geared toward the brewing industry. Bertie Brown $200 in Scholarship Funds
Are you a woman of color working in the fermented food or beverage industries?* Could you use a scholarship to help with the costs of conferences, classes, or continued education?
Apply for the Bertie Brown Scholarship. It provides up to $200 to assist with tuition, materials, conferences, or any other professional expenses. Any woman of color who is an active member of Fermenta is eligible. This scholarship will be offered continuously (no deadline) as long as there are funds available and eligible applicants!
If you haven’t joined Fermenta and money is tight, let us know - scholarship backers will fund as many new BIPOC members as we can. Email us at: Scholarships@fermentamichigan.org (Please mention BIPOC in the subject line.)

Continuing Education Level

CHOOSE YOUR COURSE – WINE, SAKE or SPIRITS!
These courses are on-line, and are run by the WSET, the Wine & Spirit Education Trust https://www.wsetglobal.com The WSET partner with organizations worldwide. In the USA the Napa Valley Wine Academy teaches the classes.
All courses are four-week, self-paced courses with a fixed start/end date (choose your preferred date), and include 12 months of access to the online learning material. All courses include the on-line exam. The wine course includes a wine kit.
